About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Writer / Content Specialist to join our transport planning and mobility innovation team in Gurugram. This role combines technical documentation expertise with the ability to create thought-leadership content such as articles, whitepapers, and research reports on emerging topics like AI in public transit, smart mobility, and transport technology trends.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Documentation

• Write, edit, and manage project deliverables including technical reports, feasibility studies, proposals, manuals, API documentation, and client presentations.
• Ensure documents are accurate, clear, and compliant with industry standards.

2. Thought-Leadership Content

• Research and develop articles, whitepapers, blogs, and case studies on emerging areas such as AI in public transit, data-driven transport planning, IoT in mobility, sustainable transport systems, and smart cities.
• Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to position the company as a knowledge leader in the transport and mobility domain.
• Simplify highly technical concepts into engaging content tailored for industry stakeholders, policymakers, and broader audiences.

3. Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

• Partner with engineers, transport planners, and technology specialists to extract knowledge.
• Conduct interviews, analyze technical data, and translate into both project documentation and strategic communication pieces.

4. Content Design & Quality

• Structure content with visuals, infographics, and charts to make technical insights accessible.
• Proofread and edit documents/articles for accuracy, tone, readability, and impact.

5. Research & Insights

• Stay on top of industry trends, government policies, new technologies (AI/ML, IoT, data analytics, automation in transit).
• Provide context and insights to strengthen both project documentation and external publications.

6. Project Support & Version Control

• Support transport projects throughout their lifecycle by providing documentation and content support.
• Maintain version control and ensure stakeholders access the most up-to-date documents.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Core Skills

• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt writing style for technical reports, client-facing documents, and thought-leadership content.
• Proven ability to simplify complex technical and technological concepts for non-technical readers.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe InDesign, and publishing tools.
• Experience in technical API documentation.

Domain Knowledge

• Exposure to transport planning, mobility, or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of technologies like AI, IoT, data analytics, and automation in public transit (preferred).

Soft Skills
